Important Information Regarding Temporary Disposable Mailboxes

1. Ephemeral & Non-Permanent Nature

Testmail is an ephemeral mail system. Emails received in the public web view are designed to automatically disappear and auto-purge after 10 minutes. There is no permanent storage, no user archive, and no ability to recover expired emails or deleted tags from the public interface.

Critical Warning: Do NOT Use for Vital Accounts

Never use a temporary disposable email address for sensitive, critical, or irreplaceable services, including:

  • Bank accounts, cryptocurrency wallets, or payment platforms (PayPal, Stripe, etc.).
  • Primary government services, passports, or tax identification.
  • Personal medical, healthcare, or insurance records.
  • Any accounts where two-factor authentication (2FA) or password resets may be required later.

2. Shared Namespace & Tag Isolation

Mailboxes are dynamically generated using namespace tags (e.g. {namespace}.{tag}@inbox.testmail.app). While custom tags provide segregation during testing sessions, temporary mail addresses should never be treated as private vaults. Always assume incoming messages in disposable inboxes are transient and public-facing.

3. Trademark & Affiliation Disclaimer

All product and company names, logos, and brands referenced on this website (including but not limited to GitHub, GitHub Student Developer Pack, Render, Vercel, Netlify, and testmail.app) are trademarks™ or registered® trademarks of their respective holders.
